Morticer Jig is a tool that guides the machining tool.

Morticer Jig Function - designed specifically to guide the drilling bit to cut mortices for door locks and their faceplates. It is quick and simple to set up, self centring and locks onto the door edge securely.

Features:

• Suitable for tubular latches, rack bolts and concealed door closers when used in conjunction with the plunging cutters
• Use with a drill with 2,000-3,000 rpm with hammer action off and a 1/2" chuck
• Screw-on design precision, carbide tipped mortice wood cutters
• Cuts lock forend as well as lock body
• Self-centring action
• Cuts a mortice for the body and for the face plate
• Achieves an accurate depth of cut to hardwood and softwood doors
• Vertical guides, height and depth stops mean you cannot over run the cut area
