Escutcheon is when a cylinder needs to be trimmed, this tool is utilized. A matching accessory that goes nicely with all round rose levers and entry handles where they're suited.

Escutcheon Function - escutcheon is a plate that surrounds a keyhole or a door handle mechanism. It serves both a decorative and protective function, covering the hole where the key is inserted or where the handle is mounted.
